LONDON, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur have the confidence to beat "anyone, anywhere" after Tuesday's 5-1 rout of Arsenal set up a League Cup final with Chelsea at Wembley next month, according to assistant manager Gus Poyet.

Spurs visit Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday, having failed to defeat Alex Ferguson's men at Old Trafford since 1989.

But self-belief has soared after Spurs finally ended a nine-year wait for victory over north London neighbours Arsenal.

"We don't fear anyone," Poyet told reporters. "I am able to say we can beat anyone, anywhere."

The former Uruguay midfielder acknowledged, however, that a special strategy was needed against the league champions.

"You need a special day and a special plan to play against United and we hope what we are planning is going to work because it is not a normal game in terms of how you play," said Poyet.
