LONDON, April 25 (Reuters) - Sports news in brief from around the world.

Cricket - Pakistan have confirmed they will host a three-match one-day series against New Zealand in August as a warm-up for the following month's Champions Trophy.

Zakir Khan, the Pakistan Cricket Board's director of cricket operations, said on Friday the matches would be played in Multan on Aug 24 and in Faisalabad on Aug 27 and 30.

Pakistan had also invited West Indies in August but they declined due to prior commitments in Canada. The Champions Trophy, which Pakistan hosts, runs from Sept 11-28.

Soccer - Giorgos Donis said he was ending his four-year reign as coach of Greek Super League club Larissa.

Donis, 38, has been linked with the coaching position at AEK Athens since the sacking of Lorenzo Serra Ferrer in February and is expected to replace caretaker boss Nikos Kostenoglou later this year.

Larissa finished sixth this year, just missing out on the play-offs, but during his time in charge Donis secured promotion to the Super League and won the Greek Cup last year, beating Panathinaikos in the final.
