LONDON, April 18 (Reuters) - English Championship side
Wolverhampton Wanderers became the season's first team promoted
to the Premier League on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Queens
Park Rangers.
Manager Mick McCarthy's side were last in the top flight in
2004 after a 19 year absence but were relegated after just one
season.
Charlton Athletic's 2-2 draw with Blackpool saw them
relegated to League One (third division), just two seasons after
being relegated from the Premier League.
