UPDATE 1-Soccer-Ballack on the bench for FA Cup final

LONDON, May 30 (Reuters) - Michael Ballack was left out of Chelsea's team for the FA Cup final against Everton at Wembley Stadium on Saturday with Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink selecting Jon Obi Mickel in his starting lineup instead.

Ballack also missed Chelsea's last FA Cup final appearance in 2007 when he was injured.

Everton boss David Moyes opted to play Louis Saha in attack with teenager Jack Rodwell on the bench.

Chelsea fullback Ashley Cole was attempting to become the first player for more than 100 years to win a fifth FA Cup winners' medal.

Lineups:

Chelsea: 1-Petr Cech; 17-Jose Bosingwa, 26-John Terry (captain), 33-Alex, 3-Ashley Cole; 5-Michael Essien, 12-John Obi Mikel, 8-Frank Lampard; 15-Florent Malouda, 11-Didier Drogba, 39-Nicolas Anelka.

Everton: 24-Tim Howard; 2-Tony Hibbert, 4-Joseph Yobo, 5-Joleon Lescott, 3-Leighton Baines; 18-Phil Neville (captain), 17-Tim Cahill, 21-Leon Osman, 20-Steven Pienaar; 25-Marouane Fellaini, 9-Louis Saha.
