Soccer - Middlesbrough have signed Dutch striker Marvin Emnes from Sparta Rotterdam, the Premier League club said.
A statement on the club Web site (www.mfc.premiumtv.co.uk) said Middlesbrough had paid 4 million euros ($6.35 million) for the 20-year-old who has signed a four-year contract.
Emnes, a Dutch under-21 international, was voted player of the season last year at Sparta after scoring eight goals in the club's last 10 games.
Soccer - Getafe have signed former Germany Under-21 international Eugen Polanski, the Primera Liga side announced.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who was born in Poland, finished his contract with Borussia Moenchengladbach at the end of last season.
