ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Two suspected militants on a motorbike fired shots at a military vehicle in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, on Tuesday, but there were no casualties, police said.

"The attackers fled. There were no casualties," Asghar Ali, a police official, told Reuters.

Taliban militants have carried out several attacks in Pakistan since the army launched an assault on their South Waziristan strongholds in the northwest ten days ago.

An army brigadier and his driver were killed in a drive-by shooting in Islamabad last week.
