WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (Reuters) - World number one Lorena Ochoa is to host a $1 million invitational event on next year's LPGA Tour, the Mexican said on Wednesday.

The strokeplay tournament will be held from Nov. 13-16 at her home course, the Guadalajara Country Club, and feature 36 players.

"This is a dream come true for me," Ochoa told reporters on the eve of the ADT Championship at the Trump International course.

"I am looking forward to welcoming the best players in the world and to share this great event with my home city," said Ochoa, who turns 26 on Thursday.

The 2008 tournament will benefit Ochoa's foundation to help under-privileged Mexican youngsters.

World number one Tiger Woods also hosts an event on the men's circuit.
