Mexican Ochoa enjoys Singapore stroll

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - The $2 million Women's Champions tournament became a stroll in Singapore for Lorena Ochoa but the world number one said she had not been complacent despite starting the final round eight shots clear.
Ochoa, making her season debut, thrashed a top-class field that included Annika Sorenstam and Paula Creamer, who won the first two LPGA tournaments of the year while the Mexican was fine tuning her game.
She finished 11 strokes clear of her nearest rival Sorenstam on Sunday and was the only player to shoot below 70 in all four rounds of the inaugural event.
"You never know what's going to happen," she told reporters.
"Sometimes you play your best and someone does something extraordinary and you lose. I didn't want to make mistakes and I wanted to win by more than eight."
On a day when monsoon-like rain swept across the Tanah Merah Country Club and kept the final group on the course for eight hours, the 26-year-old retained her composure to post a bogey-free 68.
"Today it was tougher mentally than physically," said Ochoa, who will return to Mexico for her sister Daniela's wedding on Friday before playing in tournaments in Mexico City and Phoenix.
Ochoa, who won her first major at last year's British Open, said adding to that tally was one of her goals this season and that she was gearing up for the Kraft Nabisco Championship in April
"When I'm teeing off in that first major I'm going to be ready to win the tournament," she said. "That's how I do it."
