Ogilvy leads as Tiger falls back at Miami
MIAMI (Reuters) - Geoff Ogilvy birdied the ninth hole to take a one-stroke lead over fellow Australian Adam Scott midway through the WGC-CA Championship third round on Saturday.
World number one Tiger Woods was three shots behind overnight leader Ogilvy after he bogeyed the second where he three-putted.
Woods recovered with a birdie on the par-four seventh to end the front nine even-par on the round so far and 11-under overall.
Ogilvy, the 2006 U.S. Open winner, was 14 under overall following his birdies on the seventh and ninth while Scott was in excellent form as he fired a four-under 32 on the opening nine.
Scott made an explosive start with an eagle on the par five first where he drove 326 yards from the tee before setting himself up for a 16-foot putt with an excellent fairway drive.
