ICL hails Sri Lanka board decision to lift ban

Reuters - The unofficial Indian Cricket League (ICL) has hailed a Sri Lanka cricket board decision to lift a domestic ban on five players and an umpire who signed up with them last year.

"We are happy that Sri Lanka Cricket has taken a positive step towards the game," ICL business head Himanshu Mody told Reuters.

The ICL is not recognised by the national governing bodies in the International Cricket Council and attracts an automatic ban from all forms of official cricket.
