Bolt plans sprint double at Jamaican trials
KINGSTON (Reuters) - Olympic champion and world record holder Usain Bolt plans to compete in both the 100 and 200 metres at next week's Jamaican world championship trials, his agent said on Saturday.
"His aim is to qualify for the world championship team in these events and the 4x100 metres relay," Ricky Simms said in an e-mail to Reuters.
Bolt set world records in all three at last year's Beijing Olympics.
The Jamaican trials run from Friday through to Sunday (June 26-28) in Kingston.
"Based on his training next week Coach (Glen) Mills will instruct him how hard to run through the rounds and in the various races," Simms said.
"After this he comes back to Europe for (meetings in) Lausanne, Paris and London."
