LONDON (Reuters) - Chelsea made their second transfer swoop in two days when they signed Manchester City striker Daniel Sturridge on a free on Friday.

"Daniel Sturridge has agreed to join on a four-year contract," the FA Cup winners said on their website (www.chelseafc.com).

The 19-year-old scored four times in 26 appearances last season and was voted City's young player of the year.

Former Middlesbrough goalkeeper Ross Turnbull became new Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti's first signing on Thursday.
