Kelantan striker gets boost before Cup Final
KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Kelantan striker Indra Putra Mahayuddin received a boost ahead of this weekend's Malaysia Cup final when he was named his country's most valuable player at the annual soccer awards.
The national hit-man, who leads the Malaysia Cup scoring chart with 10 goals, was also named as Best Striker.
Kelantan face Negeri Sembilan on Saturday, seeking their first major silverware in Malaysian football since 1921.
