SCENARIOS - T-Mobile UK - Should it stay or should it sell?

FRANKFURT/LONDON (Reuters) - Poor performance by T-Mobile in Britain in the past quarter has fuelled speculation that parent Deutsche Telekom might sell the unit.
In the crowded British market, T-Mobile competes with mobile network operator 3, owned by Hutchison Whampoa, Telefonica's O2, France Telecom's Orange and Vodafone.
Deutsche Telekom kept speculation alive it might sell the business by saying it is reviewing all its options and that nothing is unthinkable.
Analysts estimate the unit would be worth about 3.2 billion pounds ($4.85 billion).
