COLOMBO (Reuters) - A loud explosion rocked the main railway station of Sri Lanka's capital Colombo on Sunday, a military official said.

No details of casualties were immediately available from blast in the crowded Fort railway station in Colombo. "When I entered the station after taking the ticket I heard a loud explosion. I ran off with others," said witness S.Ilangovan.

A crude bomb earlier on Sunday went off in a zoo in the capital wounding four visitors. The blast was blamed on Tamil Tiger rebels.
