Pakistan parties to work to form government - Sharif

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistan's two main opposition parties, which won the most seats in Monday's parliamentary election, will work together to form a government, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, said on Thursday.

Sharif had talks in Islamabad with the widower of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, who has led her Pakistan People's Party since she was assassinated on Dec. 27.

"We will work together to form the government," Sharif told a joint news conference with Bhutto's husband, Asif Ali Zardari, after their meeting.
