MUMBAI (Reuters) - India's south-west monsoon, crucial for sowing of crops like paddy, oilseeds, sugarcane, cotton and pulses has covered all parts of India, the weather department said on Friday.

"Southwest monsoon has further advanced today into remaining parts of Rajasthan and thus covered the entire country," India Meteorological Department said on its website.

The monsoon covers the entire country usually around July 15, as per the IMD.

Rainfall during June 1 to July 1 was 92.2 mm, 46 percent below normal. The weather office said last Wednesday total rainfall for the crucial June-September monsoon would be only 93 percent of the long-term average, coming in below normal for the first time in four years.
