Zimbabwe opposition's Tsvangirai to contest vote
BELFAST (Reuters) - Zimbabwean opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai said on Friday he expected to return to the country later today and that he would contest a presidential run-off election scheduled for June 27.
"Yes I'm going back today," Tsvangirai told reporters after addressing the 55th Congress of the Liberal International in Belfast.
"We will participate in the run-off but ... violence has to cease for an election to be conducted or that election will not be legitimate."
