Saudi Arabia says no negotiations over Qatar demands
WASHINGTON Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said on Tuesday that there would be no negotiations over demands by the kingdom and other Arab states for Qatar to stop supporting terrorism.
DIYARBAKIR, Turkey Kurdish militants killed a guard in an attack on a vehicle carrying a district official from the ruling AK Party in southeast Turkey overnight, ahead of Sunday's referendum on introducing a presidential system, security sources said.
They said the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants carried out the attack on Saturday night in the Muradiye district of the southeast's Van province. A second of the AKP official's guards was wounded in the attack.

WASHINGTON/MOSCOW The United States warned Syria's leadership against staging a chemical weapons attack after Washington detected what appeared to be active preparations at a Syrian airfield used for such an attack in April, U.S. officials said on Tuesday.
