TOKYO (Reuters) - Senior officials of the Bank of Japan, the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Services Agency held a meeting to discuss financial markets, the central bank said on Monday.

The officials meet once every few months for regular exchange of views on financial markets, and at times gather to signal to markets their alarm over sharp exchange-rate moves.
