Fed's Kocherlakota steers clear of monetary policy, economy in speech

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Minneapolis Federal Reserve President Narayana Kocherlakota did not comment on the state of the U.S. economy or the outlook for monetary policy in prepared remarks on Friday.

In a speech before a conference on economic mobility, Kocherlakota called for more research on the difficulties American Indians face in moving up the economic ladder.
