Euro extends gains versus dollar, rises to session high
NEW YORK, June 17 (Reuters) - The euro extended gains against the dollar on Wednesday as U.S. stocks rose, reducing safe-haven demand for the greenback.
The euro pushed up to a session peak of $1.3959 EUR=EBS, and was last up 0.8 percent on the day at $1.3945.
The dollar came under broad pressure on Wednesday after tame U.S. inflation data dampened speculation the Federal Reserve would raise interest rates anytime soon.
