Dollar extends gains vs euro, yen, hitting session highs
NEW YORK, June 18 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar extended gains on Thursday to trade at session highs against the euro and yen.
The euro fell as low as $1.3873 EUR=, down 0.5 percent on the day. It had earlier risen to a session peak of $1.4001, according to Reuters data.
The dollar pushed up to 96.69 yen JPY=EBS, according to electronic trading platform EBS, and was last at 96.65 yen, up 1 percent on the day. (Editing by Kenneth Barry)
