White House says hopeful Congress can pass budget with bipartisan support

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Obama administration is "hopeful" that Republicans and Democrats in Congress can come together to pass a spending measure, the White House said on Thursday.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters he expects the bill will not include ideological riders but will adequately fund the government.
