U.S. March oil demand down 6.38 pct from year ago-EIA

WASHINGTON, May 30 (Reuters) - U.S. oil demand in March was 194,000 barrels per day less than previously estimated, and down 1.228 million bpd from a year earlier, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday.

March oil demand was revised down by 1.07 percent to 18.020 million bpd from EIA’s earlier estimate of 18.214 million bpd. Demand was down 6.38 percent from the 19.248 million bpd posted for the month last year. (Reporting by Ayesha Rascoe; Editing by Maureen Bavdek)
