Japanese teenage girl kills father with axe - police
TOKYO (Reuters) - A 16-year-old girl in western Japan has confessed to killing her father with a small axe, telling police she did not like him, police and media said on Tuesday.
Police in Kyoto arrested the girl after she was found covered in blood in her home, a spokesman said. She admitted to killing her 45-year-old father who was a local police official.
"I didn't like my father so I killed him," Kyodo news agency quoted the girl as saying.
The father was found dead in his bed, leading police to suspect he had been killed while he was sleeping, Kyodo said.
