Train hits bus in Argentina, 18 dead - reports

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - A train crashed into a bus at a rail crossing in Argentina in the early hours of Sunday, killing 18 people and injuring about 50 others, local television reported.

Roberto Capiel, a health official from the town of Dolores, near the crash scene, told one television channel some of the injured were in critical condition.

Television pictures showed the train partially derailed and the bus virtually destroyed. The accident took place about 205 km south of the capital Buenos Aires.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
