More feared dead or injured in China quake

BEIJING (Reuters) - More people were feared dead or injured in house collapses triggered by a huge earthquake that hit southwest China on Monday, state media reported.

Xinhua news agency quoted an official in the southwestern province of Sichuan saying many houses had collapsed in Dujiangyan city, near the quake's epicentre in Wenchuan County.

Phones to the area have been cut off, but there have been five deaths reported in surrounding areas due to the earthquake.
