Mugabe supporters beat people at opposition rally - MDC
HARARE (Reuters) - Armed supporters of Zimbabwe's ruling ZANU-PF party have started beating people at a rally where opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai was due to speak on Sunday, Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change said.
"The (ZANU-PF youth) militia have started beating people who are at the venue and those that were on their way," the MDC said in a statement. Tsvangirai is campaigning for the June 27 presidential run-off against President Robert Mugabe.
