TEHRAN (Reuters) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 shook Kerman province in southeast Iran on Wednesday morning, state radio said, adding that it had not received reports of any casualties.

Iran, the world's fourth-largest oil producer, is criss-crossed by faultlines and often experiences earthquakes.

Kerman is not near Iran's main oil and gas producing region which is mainly on the western side of Iran.
