(Reuters) - Factbox on Switzerland's Roger Federer, who became only the sixth man to win all four majors in his career after claiming the French Open title with a 6-1 7-6 6-4 win over Swede Robin Soderling on Sunday.

MAKING HIS NAME

* Born Aug. 8, 1981 in Basel, Switzerland

* Bursts on to the scene in 2001 when he ends Pete Sampras's 31-match winning streak at Wimbledon in the fourth round before losing in the quarter-finals.
