Name Description

Chris Dalton

Mr. Chris Dalton serves as Chief Executive Officer of Sumatec Resources Bhd since June 4, 2012. He has a Bachelor of Science Hons (Geology) from University of Wales and a Master of Science (Petroleum Geology) from University of Aberdeen and is a Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Prior to his appointment to Sumatec Resources Berhad, he served 16 years in the Oil & Gas Industry with Halliburton. While working for Halliburton, he held senior management positions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as the EuroAsia and Asia Pacific Halliburton Consulting Manager (2007-2011) and Drilling & Completions Consulting Manager (2004-2006). Prior to this, he held the position of Business Sales Consulting Manager in Houston, Texas (2003-2004). He has held positions in operational, financial and technical management throughout his career. His technical background is comprehensive. Having worked at the rig site and clients offices in the geoscience and drilling domains since he first joined Sperry-Sun in 1996. His operational experience is global, having worked in South America, North America, Europe and Asia, including Kazakhstan.

Kamaruddin Bin Biji Sura

Wan Kamaruddin Bin Biji Sura @ Wan Abdullah serves as Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Sumatec Resources Bhd since August 27, 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Brighton Polytechnic (United Kingdom). He started his career with Tenaga Nasional Berhad where he worked in the operations and turbine maintenance department. In 1987, he joined Sarawak Shell as a Rotating Equipment Engineer and progressed through a series of positions including Project Engineer, Senior Facilities Engineer and Company Representative on the M3 Integrated Deck fabrication and the Beryl/Helang development projects. In 1996, he was seconded to Shell Malaysia Trading as the Project Manager for the PETRONAS/Shell joint-venture Multi-Product Pipeline and Klang Valley Distribution Project. He has twenty-over years of experience in the operation, maintenance and construction of oil & gas facilities. He does not hold directorship in any other public companies.

Roshidah Abdullah

Ms. Roshidah Abdullah is Chief Financial Officer of Sumatec Resources Bhd. She Bachelor of Accounting from South Australian Institute of Technology (University of South Australia), Australia. She is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Australia and Chartered Accountant, Malaysia. She has in total 24 years experience in financial management, corporate strategy development and operations management in wholesale distribution, manufacturing and marketing organisations. She has worked in various industry sectors including pharmaceutical, construction and engineering, and diversified conglomerate. She spent 15 years from 1995 to 2008 and 2010 to 2011 with Pharmaniaga Berhad and its group companies in various capacities. She started as the Finance Manager in a subsidiary, Remedi Pharmaceuticals (M) Sdn Bhd, and later appointed as the Chief Financial Officer in 2003 and Chief Operating Officer in 2006. She also has 2 years working experience with UEM Group Berhad and UEM Builders Berhad from 2008 to 2010 as the Director of Finance and Corporate Services. Her last employment prior to joining the Company was as an Associate Director with Renoex International Sdn Bhd, a project management and business partnering consultancy services company.

Yok Peng Chan

Mr. Chan Yok Peng serves as Managing Director and Executive Director of Sumatec Resources Bhd. He is a member of the Remuneration Committee. He holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honors) from University of Malaya and is registered as a professional Mechanical Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia. He also holds a Certified Accounting and Finance from the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Engineers, Malaysia. He started his career as a Project Engineer with Jurong Engineering Pte Ltd (Singapore) and later joined FELDA as an Assistant Mill Manager before joining ESSO Production Malaysia Incorporated in 1980. He was involved in the construction of the RM650 million ESSO Terengganu Crude Oil Terminal including the supervision of pipe coating and laying of 123miles of 24-inch submarine pipeline from offshore Tapis Pumping Platform to Kerteh, Terengganu where the Crude Oil Terminal is located. He later joined Tenaga Waja Sdn Bhd, a joint-venture of Wah Chang International of Singapore and Malaysian Bumiputra businessman, before starting his own business via Sumatec Corporation Sdn Bhd in 1985.

Mohamad Shukri Bin Ab Kadir

Wan Mohamad Shukri Bin Ab Kadir serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Sumatec Resources Bhd. He was appointed to the Board on August 16, 2011 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He is a member of the Audit Committee. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Mr. Ismail Bin Ibrahim serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Sumatec Resources Bhd. He was appointed on August 27, 2003. He is the Chairman of Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee of the Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Brighton Technical College, both in United Kingdom. He has more than twenty-six years of experience in the field of project development, engineering and management. He started his career with Lembaga Letrik Negara in 1977 as an Assistant Engineer, and subsequently served as a Senior Manager with Time Engineering Berhad, and as a Head of Power Business Department with EPE Power Corporation Berhad. He then moved on to work as an Advisor to the Group Chief Executive Officer on Power Project development for Sime Darby Berhad. He is an Appointed Director of Kelana Stabil (M) Sdn Bhd involved in development works specializing in power and infrastructure.

Mohd Paudzi Bin Ismail

Y. Bhg. Dato' Mohd Paudzi Bin Ismail serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Sumatec Resources Bhd since January 14, 2005. He is a member of the Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee of the Board. He holds a Masters in Business Administration majoring in Finance from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and a Bachelor in Economics Degree from University of Malaya. He was the General Manager of the State Economic Development Corporation Terengganu. During his 34 years tenure with the Corporation, he was exposed to a varied experience in both public and private sections. He has represented the Corporation and the Terengganu State Government as a board member on numerous companies, listed and non-listed, in various sections including plantation, mining, property development and services.

Mazlan Bin Nasiron

Y. Bhg. Dato' Mazlan Bin Nasiron serves as Independent Non-Executive Director of Sumatec Resources Bhd. He was appointed on November 10, 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Al Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. He has worked for Muasasah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and upon return to Malaysia, been involved in the travel related industry. He was also one of the Motivators for Polis Diraja Malaysia from 2002 to 2005 and the Islamic Adviser to Brig. Jeneral Dato’ Seri Abdul Hamid bin Zainal Abidin, the Chairman of MARA, from 2006 to 2008. He also appeared as a Motivator on Al Idayah, a TV3 program from 2006 to 2008.
