Datuk Lee (Edward) Ming Foo has been Managing Director and Executive Director of Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd since March 31, 2005. He was first appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on November 1, 2000 and on March 25, 2002, he became an Executive Director of the Company. He is also a member of the Remuneration Committee, which is a sub-committee of the Board. Datuk Edward Lee is also the Managing Director of Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Berhad, the Company’s 51.55% owned subsidiary and also sits on the Board of Malaysian Mosaics Berhad (“MMB”) as an Alternate Director, both of which are companies listed on the Main Board of Bursa Securities. Datuk Edward Lee is also the Managing Director of Gek Poh (Holdings) Sdn. Bhd., the holding company of HSCB. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the McMaster University in Canada in 1977 and joined the MMB Group in 1980. He has held various senior management positions within MMB Group and was the Group Chief Operating Officer from 1995 until his appointment as Managing Director on March 31, 2005. He relinquished his position as Managing Director of MMB on January 31, 2007 and was appointed as an Alternate Director on February 1, 2007.
