July 25 - Japan's Mazda Motor Corp will broaden a recall of cars sold in the United States because an air-bag inflator, supplied by Japan's Takata Corp, could rupture and seriously injure occupants.
DETROIT - German automaker BMW said on Wednesday it is recalling about 1.6 million cars worldwide to replace passenger-side front air bags made by Takata Corp because the inflators could break apart during deployment and injure passengers.

BEIJING, July 7 - Mazda Motor Corp will recall over 42,000 cars produced in China due to issues over airbags supplied by Takata Corp, a firm which is at the heart of massive recalls globally involving Japanese, U.S. and European automakers.
