(The following statement was released by the rating agency) CHICAGO, April 16 (Fitch) Fitch Ratings has assigned an 'AA' rating to Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.'s (Walmart) $2.5 billion note issuance, consisting of: --$500 million of 1% notes due 2017; --$1 billion of 3.3% notes due 2024; and --1 billion of 4.3% notes due 2044.
