The Company operates in six business segments: principal investment; property development; property investment; securities, commodities and brokerage; hotel and gaming operations, and oil and gas. The principal investment segment conducts treasury and investment management activities. The property development segment includes development of residential and commercial properties. The property investment segment includes holding properties for rental income. The securities, commodities and brokerage segment include stock and commodity broking. The hotel and gaming segment includes hotel and casino operations. The oil and gas segment includes interest in the Bass Strait oil and gas royalty stream.

BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 30 June 2009, GuocoGroup Limited's revenues increased 5% to HK$2.85B. Net income decreased 67% to HK$61.4M. Revenues reflect an increase in income from sale of properties, a rise in rental income from properties and higher income from sale of investment in securities. Net income was offset by a increase in cost of sales, higher other net losses, a decrease in income from operations and lower share of profit from associates.
