Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) owns and operates the stock exchange and futures exchange in Hong Kong and their related clearing houses. HKEx operates through four segments. The Cash Market business refers to the operations of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (Stock Exchange), which covers all products traded on the Cash Market platforms, such as equities, debt securities, unit trusts, warrants and rights. The Derivatives Market business refers to the derivatives products traded on the Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (Futures Exchange) and stock options traded on the Stock Exchange. The Clearing Business refers to the operations of the clearing houses, Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited, The SEHK Options Clearing House Limited and HKFE Clearing Corporation Limited.The Information Services business is responsible for developing, promoting, compiling and sales of real-time, historical, as well as statistical market data and issuer information.

BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited's revenues decreased 11% to HK$5.22B. Net income decreased 12% to HK$3.48B. Revenues reflect decreased income from trading fees & trading tariff, lower clearing & settlement fees and decreased income from sale of information. Net income also reflects ncreased premises expenses and rise in other operating expenses.
