ANTA Sports Products Limited is engaged in the manufacturing, trading and distribution of sporting goods, including footwear, apparel and accessories, in the People’s Republic of China. The Company operates in two business segments: ANTA branded products and international branded products. The ANTA branded products segment include the manufacturing and trading of ANTA branded sporting goods, including footwear, apparel and accessories (ANTA Brand). The international branded products segment includes the distribution of sporting goods of international brands, including Adidas, Reebok and Kappa (collectively International Brands). On May 16, 2008, the Company disposed its interest in the Shanghai Fengxian Sporting Goods Development Limited (Shanghai Fengxian). In September 2009, the Company completed the acquisitions of Full Prospect Limited and Fila Marketing (Hong Kong) Limited.
BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, AntaSports Products' revenues increased 28% to RMB2.82B. Net income from continuing operations increased 38% to RMB608.3M. Revenues reflect an increase in turnover from the products of the group. Net income also reflects the presence of other income vs. a loss and a higher gross & operating profit margins. The Company is engaged in designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing of sportswear.
