BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Chinatrust Financial Holding Company Ltd.'s interest income fell 36% to NT$19.26B. Net interest income after LLP dropped 23% to NT$6.14B. Net income before accounting change totaled NT$357.7M, down from NT$8.91B. Interest reflect a drop in interest due to financial crisis. Net interest income after LLP was partially offset by lower bad loans. Net income also suffered from lower commission income.
