Bank of China Limited is engaged in the provision of a range of banking and related financial services, including commercial banking, investment banking and insurance business. The Company operates through six segments: corporate banking, personal banking, treasury operations, investment banking, insurance and other operations. BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Bank of China Limited's interest income decreased 10% to RMB193.67B. Net interest income after LLP increased 8% to RMB103.88B. Net income increased 5% to 62.06B. Net interest income after LLP reflect a drop in provision for loan loss. Net earnings was partially offset by higher fees and commission expense, the presence of loss on fair value change, as well as lower other operating income.
