RIKEN CORPORATION is a Japan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of automotive parts, industrial machinery parts and other products. The Company operates in two business segments. The Automotive and Industrial Machinery Part segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of automobile parts, including piston rings, camshafts, valve seats, valve lifters, crankshafts, seal rings, pinion shafts, vanes for air compressors, damper forks and vanes for power steering systems. This segment also provides marine and industrial components and parts, piping products and thermal engineering products. The Others segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of electrically heated wires, industrial furnaces and construction-related parts, the management of golf courses, as well as the repair of factory facilities. The Company has 21 subsidiaries and seven associated companies in Japan and overseas countries.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 September 2009, RIKEN CORPORATION's revenues decreased 37% to Y29.69B. The Company's net income decreased 63% to Y645M.
