Electric Power Development Co., Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the electricity business. The Company operates in three business segments. The Electricity segment is engaged in the provision of hydraulic and thermal electric power, as well as the distribution of electric power to other electric companies via its electronic power lines and frequency transformer stations located in between Hokkaido and the Mainland, the Mainland and Shikoku, and the Mainland and Kyushu, among others. The Electricity Periphery-related segment is engaged in the designing, construction and maintenance of power generating facilities, as well the provision of fuels and materials for electric power generation and other related services. The Others segment is engaged in the provision of resources management, overseas electrical generation investment, environmental-related, information communications and consulting services, among others.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 September 2009, Electric Power Development Co., Ltd.'s revenues decreased 25% to Y273.12B. The Company's net income decreased 58% to Y14.01B. Revenues reflect decreased sales due to the decreased market need.
