CAPCOM CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company that operates in five business segments. The Home Game Software segment is involved in the development and sale of home video game software. The Amusement Facility Operation segment operates amusement facilities. The Commercial Equipment Sale segment manufactures and sells commercial game machines and integrated circuit(IC) substrates, among others. The Contents Expansion segment is engaged in the development and distribution of contents for mobile phones and others, as well as the development, manufacturer and sale of liquid crystal displays (LCDs). The Others segment is involved in the character-related licensing business, as well as the leasing of real estate and the provision of support services for communications tools. BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 September 2009, Capcom Co.,Ltd.'s revenues increased 25% to Y38.89B. The Company's net income increased 58% to Y2.97B. Revenues reflect higher sales from consumer device and contents expansion business segments. Net income also benefits from lower percentage of cost of sales and selling, general & administrative expenses, as well as decreased provision for doubtful accounts.
