BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Abengoa SA's total revenue increased 18% to EUR2.39B. Net income for the period increased 16% to EUR83M. Total revenue reflects an increase in sales in the Sun Energy, Bioenergy, Systems & Networks and Engineering & Industrial Construction business segments. Net income was partially offset by an increase in personnel, research & development and other operating costs as well as lower interst and foreign exchange income.
