Its principal products are axles, undercarriages, drivelines, brakes and braking systems, and roofs and door systems. ArvinMeritor designs, develops, manufactures, markets, distributes, sells, services and supports a range of products for use in the transportation and industrial sectors. It operates in four segments: Commercial Truck segment, Industrial segment, Aftermarket & Trailer segment and Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) segment. On June 5, 2009, the Company sold its 51% interest in Gabriel de Venezuela to its joint venture partner. On September 21, 2009, the Company completed the sale of its wheels business. On October 30, 2009, the Company sold its 57% owned joint venture Meritor Suspension Systems Company (MSSC).
