Central European Media Enterprises Ltd (CME) invests in, develops and operates commercial television channels in Central and Eastern Europe. At present, the Company has operations in Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Romania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Ukraine. The Company holds its assets through a series of Dutch and Netherlands Antilles holding companies. It has ownership interests in license companies and operating companies in each market in which it operates. Operations are conducted either by the license companies themselves or by separate operating companies. The Company generates revenues primarily through entering into agreements with advertisers, advertising agencies and sponsors to place advertising on air of the television channels that it operates.
