BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, CEZ a.s.'s total revenue increased 5% to CZK138.6B. Net income for the period increased 7% to CZK43.7B. Total revenue reflects an increase in sales within the Power Production, Distribution and Sales as well as Mining business segment. Net income for the period benefited from lower other operating expenses, as well as increased interest income and possitive effect of foreign exchange transaction.
