The Company provides professional services, global support solutions and customer education, and training to help customers to manage their backup and archive data. The Company’s systems are based on data domain operating system (DD OS) software, which is optimized for data protection and disaster recovery and supports network attached storage, or NAS, virtual tape library, and Symantec NetBackup OpenStorage environments. As of July 22, 2009, EMC Corporation had acquired approximately 94.2% interest in the Company.

BRIEF: For the three months ended 31 March 2009, Data Domain Inc.'s revenues increased 50% to $79M. Net income decreased 54% to $1.3M. Revenues reflect an increase in the product revenues and higher income from support & services.
