Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (Mobinil) is an Egypt-based mobile telecommunications provider. The Company is engaged in the execution, management, operation, development and maintenance of a digital cellular mobile telecommunications system. It offers a range of Personal and Business Solutions. Its Personal Solutions include prepaid and postpaid scratch cards, third generation (3G) technology mobile phone services, video call services, call baring, call tone services and short message services (SMS). Its Business Solutions include Closed User Group (CUG) Services, Business Together Services, Internet solutions, as well as other tailored solutions. It also offers roaming services to travelers visiting Egypt, and to locals traveling abroad. Mobinil is also involved in the sale and maintenance of mobile devices across Egypt.
BRIEF: r the nine months ended 30 September 2009, The Egyptian Company for Mobile Services' revenues increased 9% to EGP8.01B. Net income increased 3% to EGP1.46M. Revenues reflect continued growth in subscribers. Net income was partially offset by a significant increase in other operating costs, board of directors remunerations, and interest charges. Net income was also partially offset by loss.
