Enel SpA, is an electricity operator in Italy. The Company produces, distributes, and sells electricity and natural gas across Europe, Russia, North America and Latin America. The Company operates a range of hydroelectric, thermoelectric, nuclear, geothermal, wind-power, photovoltaic and biomass power stations. The Company has presence in 22 countries with approximately 94,300 megawatt of generating capacity and serves about 61 million power and gas customers. Sales & services reflect a decrease in demand for the Company's products and services. Net income from continuing operations benefited from higher operating margins as well as from higher financial income and lower financial expenses.
